In REAL Trends’ latest episode of How You Grow Your Business, we explore how a real estate brokerage that started six years ago went from an unknown brand to being highlighted in the Inc. 5000 fastest growing privately held companies three years in a row. United Real Estate was founded in July of 2011 with a singular company-owned office in Dallas, Texas. The goal as Peter Giese, president of United Real Estate, puts it was to offer a new modern, urban/suburban brand that focused on fixing the disconnect between how brokerages and agents use technology.
As United developed their infrastructure building their own proprietary technology they made the decision to accelerate their capabilities by partnering with select vendors. Realtor.com was one of those vendors whose technology and training impacted the growth of the brand. Since opening the first office, United Real Estate opened four other company offices in 2012 and began franchising in 2013 with the first franchise opening in October of 2013. They now have five company-owned offices and 54 franchise locations across America. Giese shares that they “currently have over 3,000 agents and have closed over 15,500 transactions over the past 12 months.”
